That’s when I turn to a simple natural remedy: Honey ginger lime tea.

- 1 teaspoon of raw honey (or more to taste)
- 1 cup of hot (not boiling) water
Method
- Steep fresh ginger in freshly boiled water for 5–7 minutes. If using the powder, add to the freshly boiled water and give it a good stir.
- Add lime juice and let the tea cool slightly.
- Stir in honey last once the tea has had a chance to cool slightly in order to preserve its natural enzymes. Otherwise you just get the sugar without the majority of the benefits!
It’s worth mentioning that I tend to use Organic Ginger Powder to make this tea (especially useful if you live in a very humid place like I do, where fresh ginger doesn’t last long) – just play around with the strength you like!
